ASAP Empowers (Tools for Empowerment)
ASAP’s Tools for Empowerment program puts trade tools into the hands of vocational school graduates around the world. These eager young men and women and youth have the education, skills, and drive – but the tools they need to put their new skills to work are expensive and out of reach for most young students. To learn more about their mission, visit https://www.asapempowers.org.
Coweta Pregnancy Center
Coweta Pregnancy Center in Newnan, Georgia is a non-profit, Christian-based organization serving women and men of all ages, who are unprepared for pregnancy. Word of God supports them in a number of ways including donations of diapers, clothing, baby wipes and hygiene products. A small team of individuals purchase these items and deliver them to the center in Newnan.
Our congregation is also involved in their annual Baby Bottle Fundraiser campaign. Between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day congregation members fill baby bottles with coins. After Father’s Day the bottles are collected and delivered to the center. The Word of God congregation typically donates over $1000 in “loose change.”
